About Us

Superior 3D was founded in 2011 with a goal of creating an excellent learning environment for undergraduate engineers while also helping eliminate the design and engineering bottlenecks seen in custom manufacturing.The concept was simple, we would crowd source design work by hiring a team of undergraduate engineers eager for design experience and use their flexible part time schedules to create an around the clock service for our customers.

Through out the years we have noticed that every industry is gravitating towards the use of 3D models, but not every company has the management team, “know-how”, or the work volume to have a full time design and engineering team on staff. To add to this, building a team that has the experience needed to create manufacturable models is very difficult. Superior 3D has spent years documenting mistakes, tips and tricks to train our staff effectively and our partnerships with manufacturers in various industries help the Superior 3D team by constantly communicating design changes and feedback during the manufacturing process.

Due to the changing market, in 2020, we have revamped our offerings to include subscription design services, professional engineering packages, as well as product consultation.These new offerings are intended to allow Superior 3D to be an extension of any company by being able to easily toggle between costly professional engineering services and cost effective modeling services on a moments notice. We will apply the the right resources to every project to reduce your design costs while also using our experience to ensure DFM (Design for Manufacturability) is considered along the way.
